Restorative Dentistry

Making Your Smile Whole Again

When something is not right in your mouth, either because your gums or teeth are in pain or because you’ve got a gap from a missing tooth, you don’t feel like yourself. Dr. Pinson is an experienced, comprehensive dentist who can help. There’s no dental issue our staff is unable to address, and you can trust us to help you find a specialist if your dental issues require more extensive treatment than what we offer in our practice.

At the end of the day, we also know that affordability is a big concern when it comes to dental care. Dr. Pinson has always set out to offer affordable treatment plans because she wants dental care to be accessible for all. You won’t be overwhelmed by the price or steps involved in your treatment plan.

Root Canals

Root canals can bring out strong feelings due to negative connotations with the treatment. Really, a root canal is simply a procedure to remove decay from inside a tooth and then fill in what’s been replaced and repair the tooth again, with the goal of saving your tooth. Although it’s a more involved procedure than what you’d experience during a routine cleaning, the trouble is worth it for the relief you will feel once the tooth is repaired. Dr. Pinson performs root canal procedures on the teeth in the front of your mouth and can make a recommendation to a trusted specialist if you need care for a molar.

Periodontal Therapy

If you’ve got swollen or infected gums, we offer several approaches we can take and plenty of tools in our toolkit. Sometimes the solution is as straightforward as scraping away plaque that has built up and lodged itself under the gumline. In other cases, a mouth rinse or other medication is needed to treat an infection. While we all see our gums recede to some extent as we age, Dr. Pinson can watch for signs that your receding gums need intervention from a specialist.

Replacing Teeth

New and better ways to fill in the gaps caused by missing or broken teeth are being developed all the time. Dental implants are a permanent way to lock in a replacement tooth, while bridges, full and partial dentures supported by dental implants can be a wise option for replacing multiple missing teeth with a minimum of intervention. “You can’t tell I had anything done” is the best compliment we can think of when it comes to restoring one or more teeth. After all, no one plans for a bridge or dental implants, but we want to be the experts you trust to get your smile back where you want it.
